History
In 1969, a group of concerned citizens, who were participating in the Community Action Program, saw the need to establish a new and diversified economic base for North Brevard. A Committee was formed, and they carried on that “ad hoc” Economic Development Program until October 1970, when a professional staff was employed. The former Economic Development Program currently known as Space Coast Economic Development Commission (SEDC) assists new and existing firms with an array of services.

To assemble, focus and apply the resources necessary to launch qualified and diversified economic growth in Titusville and North Brevard.
Who We Are
The Space Coast Economic Development Commission (SEDC) is a not-for-profit corporation, supported by both public and private funds. We are a united voice for local business comprised of an Executive Committee, a Board of Directors, and general memberships. SEDC’s membership roster includes a wide spectrum of industries from service to manufacturing.
The SEDC team strives to attract industry and business by providing an array of business assistance and development programs to new and existing firms serving the North Brevard region. We offer a resource library of regional demographics, site data and a variety of business community data on the North Brevard Area.
We network with other local business leaders whether at monthly meeting, evening socials, special events or SEDC luncheons to develop strategic solutions to various economic development issues facing North Brevard.
Become a member of SEDC, your membership will allows you to support the overall Economic Development efforts in North Brevard. By doing so your company is provided additional resources, which offer you and your company advance insight and an opportunity for growth and development.
